OpenGTO Help

Welcome to OpenGTO! This comprehensive guide will help you upload, visualize, and analyze your poker hand histories on our platform.

Uploading a Hand History

You can add your hand history to OpenGTO in three simple ways:

  • Copy & Paste: Paste your text directly into the form.

  • File Upload: Select a saved hand history file from your computer.

  • Drag & Drop: Drag the file from your folder and drop it into the upload area.

Once uploaded, you’ll instantly be able to visualize and review your hand.

Supported Languages

At the moment, OpenGTO only supports hand histories written in English. If your poker room generates hands in another language, make sure to adjust your settings to export or save them in English before uploading.

Sharing and Storing Hands

After uploading, you’ll have a link that you can:

  • Share with friends or coaches.

  • Post in forums or study groups.

  • Save to your personal OpenGTO account for later review.

This makes collaboration and study effortless.

5. Best Practices for Smooth Uploads

  • Always set your poker client to save hands automatically after each session.

  • Keep hand history files organized in a dedicated folder for easy access.

  • Make sure files are in plain text (.txt) format where possible.

  • If you experience errors, double-check that the file is in English and not corrupted.

With these tips, you’ll be able to upload, visualize, and share your hands in just a few seconds, but if this didn't help you, please don't esitate to contact our support:
